Party Tips
Places to have your party
Your House or Apartment: You can hold your event in your apartment/house. We don’t need a lot of room .
The show is usually done in the livingroom or basement. Move a table out of the way and have the kids
sit on the floor or on a sofa or chairs to watch the magic show. If facepainting is part of the package
then the performer will usually need a small table and chair to set up for the facepaints.
You can also hold it in your backyard, weather permitting.
Community Room: If you or a friend or relative live in a large building with a community room/playroom
or simply a large basement this is a great place to hold your party.
Local YMCA or YWHA
Church or synagogue
School or daycare: Ask the school or daycare if they would allow parties in the building on weekends or after school
or better yet even during school hours. If the party is during the week we usually give discounted rates for entertainment.
Knights of Columbus Hall/ American Legion Hall/ VFW Hall - almost every neighborhood in Queens or town
in Long Island has one of these
Local pizzeria - if they have enough space to accommodate a party
Chinese buffets - usually also have an extra room to accommodate a party
Park - If the park is outside of Manhattan I recommend a park with ample parking. It is also better to have your party
earlier on in the day so it will be easier to get parking. Keep your cell phone on so your guests
and entertainer can find you. Also be prepared to have a plan B as to where you will move your party to if it rains that day.
In Manhattan - Riverside Park, Carl Shurz Park
Queens - Alley Pond Park and Forest Park. Both have parking and picnic tables.
In Long Island - Eisenhower Park, and Valley Stream Park. Some parks may ,
charge admission or require a permit to hold your party
